On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, over 300 guests attended Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation’s Women & Medicine Educational Luncheon held at Plantation Golf & Country Club. Venice’s inaugural event featured an interactive panel discussion on women’s heart health. A net of over $70,000 was raised. Proceeds will help SMH bring world-class healthcare to our community.

The program opened with a welcome from event co-chairs Jennifer Douglas and Cindy Stuhley. Sharon Roush, President, Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Venice, presented an update on the SMH. The educational program, moderated by Stephanie Roberts, executive producer and co-host of Suncoast View on ABC7, included a panel of female healthcare experts: Lorraine S. Cho-Chung-Hing, M.D., M.S., Nephrology, Florida Kidney Physicians; Lindsey Soltis, MPH, RDN, LDN, Clinical Dietician; and Meredith Cleveland, BS, CCRP, ACSM/NPAS, Supervisor, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Services/Program Director – Ornish Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation. The discussion primarily focused on women’s heart health. Guests participated in a Q&A session to conclude the program.

“We’re so excited to launch our popular Women & Medicine Educational Luncheon in Venice this year,” said Healthcare Foundation president Stacey Corley. “It’s a wonderful fundraising event where women come to learn about women’s health issues from women healthcare professionals at SMH.”
