A car crash changed high school athlete Jaelen’s life, forever. He endured life-threatening injuries requiring 17 surgeries and countless months in rehab. Jaelen recovered thanks to the SMH trauma and rehab teams.

The Healthcare Foundation helps fund the purchase of life-saving equipment such as portable monitors that transmit vital signs on the way to SMH, and mobile X-ray systems that bring technology directly to critically fragile patients like Jaelen.

Jaelen says he loves his SMH lifesavers and is paying it forward working toward his doctorate in physical therapy.
