CORNELL FAMILY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH
The new Cornell Behavioral Health Pavilion will be a state-of-the-art treatment facility to support those in our community struggling with anxiety, depression and other mental health challenges. As a comprehensive behavioral health facility, patients will have access to all the services they need under one roof which will be life changing for many people in our community.
Facility Highlights
The $71 million, 95,000-square-foot facility is designed to provide a safe, healing environment for people of all ages and will be built on the SMH-Sarasota Campus at the corner of Osprey Avenue and Hawthorne Street. The pavilion plan includes 4 inpatient units to serve different patient populations:
· 16-bed geriatric unit
· 22-bed child and adolescent unit
· 24-bed adult unit
· 22-bed acute care unit
Each unit will have private rooms with large windows letting in natural light and other design elements that help reduce stress and promote recovery. The first floor will have therapeutic spaces dedicated for the health system’s expanding outpatient treatment and counseling programs.
