Ellen Zane is a prominent healthcare executive who served as President and CEO of Tufts Medical Center from 2004 to 2011, becoming the first woman to lead the hospital. She is credited with guiding a major financial and operational turnaround while expanding the medical center’s affiliations and patient base. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at Partners HealthCare, now Mass General Brigham. She has also served on the boards of Boston Scientific, Fresenius Medical Care, and GE HealthCare. Ellen joined the Healthcare Foundation board in 2026.
