Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation hosted 132 golfers at its 24th annual Golf Tournament on May 1, raising support for the Physicians’ Endowment Fund at SMH.

Held on the Player Course at Laurel Oak Country Club, the event brought together local businesses and health system supporters for a day of golf and philanthropy. Over 75 volunteers and staff members supported the tournament.

“The Golf Tournament is a great way to close out our event season — a day of fun and friendly competition that directly supports Sarasota Memorial and the Physicians’ Endowment,” said Stacey Corley, president of Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation. “We’re grateful to our sponsors and volunteers whose generosity makes this event possible year after year.”

Since its inception, the tournament has raised more than $1.7 million for the endowment, which provides continuing education opportunities for Sarasota Memorial Health Care System physicians and clinical staff.

David Fouche of J2 Solutions served as tournament chair for the 10th year. DeAngelis Diamond Construction was the Golf Cart Sponsor.

Above Par sponsors included Adams Group, Barr & Barr, Coastal Property Group of Florida, Connection Enterprise, Flad Architects, Gilbane Building Company, and Gresham Smith.

Next year’s tournament will be held at Laurel Oak Country Club on May 7, 2027.
