Sarasota Memorial’s high-quality care is now available in South Sarasota County. The new hospital and medical campus in Venice provide local residents with the same level of excellent medical and patient care they’ve come to expect from SMH, closer to home.
Construction is nearly complete on the ER expansion, which will add 31 ER rooms in December 2024.

The 65-acre Laurel Road campus was designed to be flexible and expandable without impacting current operations. In future phases, SMH-Venice has the capacity to more than double in size, to 400 private inpatient suites, 16 surgical suites and a 61-bed ER.
