Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation proudly hosted the Sarasota premiere of Hello Beautiful, the film based on Christine Handy’s bestselling novel Walk Beside Me, on Wednesday, October 1, at CinéBistro in Sarasota. The highly anticipated event drew community members, donors and breast cancer survivors for three showings, and raised funds to help support breast health services at the Brian D. Jellison Cancer Institute at SMH.

Guests were deeply moved by Handy’s inspiring story of resilience and survival, which was brought to life under the direction of filmmaker Ziad H. Hamzeh. Both Handy and Hamzeh participated in Q&A discussions following each screening, offering audiences a behind-the-scenes perspective on the film and its powerful message of hope.

“As we kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are grateful to everyone who joined us to celebrate this moving story,” said Stacey Corley, President, Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation. “The generosity of our community helps provide world-class breast health services for patients right here at home.”

Proceeds from the premiere will help support comprehensive breast health programs at the Jellison Cancer Institute, ensuring patients and families in our region have access to advanced diagnostics, leading-edge treatments and compassionate care.
