Healthcare Foundation’s 23rd Annual Golf Tournament Raises Over $110,000 for SMH Physicians Endowment

On Friday, May 2, Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation hosted 240 golfers at its 23rd annual Golf Tournament. The all-day event netted over $110,000. The tournament has raised over $1.6 million to date for the Sarasota Memorial Hospital Physicians Endowment, which provides continuing education opportunities for Sarasota Memorial Health Care System staff.

Played over both championship courses at Laurel Oak Country Club, The Golf Tournament is the annual collaboration of local businesses and individuals who support the event through sponsorships and participation in the tournament. Over 65 volunteers were also on hand to help make the event a success.

“The Golf Tournament is such a great way to top off our event season—a day of fun and friendly competition that directly supports SMH and the Physicians Endowment Fund,” said Healthcare Foundation President Stacey Corley. “We’re incredibly grateful to our sponsors and volunteers whose generosity and dedication make this event such a success year after year.”

David Fouche of J2 Solutions served as tournament chair for the ninth year. The Golf Tournament’s Golf Cart Sponsor was DeAngelis Diamond Construction. Other major sponsors included Above Par Sponsors: Adams Group; Barr & Barr; Coastal Property Group; Connection Enterprise & Zebra Technologies; Flad Architects; Gilbane Building Company; Gresham Smith; and Nordic Global.
