Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation recently received a $300,000 gift from Deb Kabinoff to support the creation of a multi-media studio at Sarasota Memorial. The onsite studio will be used to produce health and wellness videos, public service announcements, podcasts, video news releases, as well as educational videos for staff. Opening in March, the studio will be named the Deb Kabinoff Multi-Media Studio.

The videos and recordings produced in the Deb Kabinoff Multi-Media Studio will serve multiple purposes and audiences and be distributed on social media platforms to keep the community informed of current health information, alerts and important news from physicians, staff and SMH officials.

Mrs. Kabinoff believes that SMH is a trusted source for the latest healthcare information for our community. Her gift will help fund the construction and design of the studio as well as the first year of video editing and production costs.

“When I learned SMH had a need for a multi-media studio to significantly enhance its ability to deliver important information to our community—and its own employees—I felt compelled to help,” said Mrs. Kabinoff.

Mrs. Kabinoff has served multiple terms on the Healthcare Foundation board. She is currently an at-large member of the executive committee, and grants committee chair.

“Deb is a long-standing Healthcare Foundation supporter who has a deep passion for philanthropy and strong healthcare in our community,” said Healthcare Foundation president Mason Ayres. “We are so grateful to her for such a generous and timely gift.”
